There was originally no information about 1672 George Andrews in the EJBA. When he started researching the field, James Boys included only those men he knew from records had actually arrived in the Crimea. He later accepted that this was too restrictive, but was unable to add all the men who embarked for but did not reach the Crimea. The current editors are intending to extend the scope of the site to include these men. Many, for example, died en route at Varna, Bulgaria, where epidemic diseases such as cholera were rife in the camps.

Left for the East on the 1st of November 1855 aboard the "Earl of Aberdeen", and joined the regiment from England on the 3rd of March 1856 [CHECK YEARS]. At Scutari.
Transferred to 18th Hussars: 28th February 1858.
Embarked for, but may not have reached, the Crimea.
No entitlement to medals.
