Birth & early life

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on 12th February 1855.

No other enlistment details known.

Service

Joined Depot from Maidstone 2nd August 1855, then service troops 4th September 1855.

Embarked for the Crimea on the 4th of September 1855 and arrived in the Crimea at Balaclava as part of a draft of 50 men under the command of Lt. Robert MacNeill on the 29th of September 1855.

Served in Eupatoria.

Transferred to 17th Lancers at Newbridge, 1st September 1857. Regimental number 71.

Died in India on the 2nd of June 1863.

Medals

Entitled to Crimean medal without clasp and the Turkish Medal.

Entitled to Mutiny medal without clasp.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
