Enlistment

Enlisted at Leeds on the 12th of March 1855.

Age: 18.

Height: 5'7".

Service

Embarked for the Crimea on the 4th of September 1855 and arrived in the Crimea at Balaclava as part of a draft of 50 men under the command of Lt. Robert MacNeill, on the 29th of September 1855. Served in Eupatoria.

Absent from Manchester on the 2nd of June 1861. Confined 3rd-6th of June and reduced to Private.

Medals

Entitled to Crimean medal without clasp and the Turkish Medal.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
