Born in London.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 15th of December 1854.

No other enlistment details apart from his trade as a mason are shown.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 7th of July 1855.

Sent to Scutari on the 15th of August and invalided to England on the 8th of September 1855.

From Private to Corporal: 9th of February 1856.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, on the "Reduction of the Regiment", from Cahir on the 15th of December 1856.

Served 2 years.

Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
