Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 1st of August 1855.
At Scutari from the 18th of September and died "in the General Hospital" at Scutari on the 22nd of September 1855.
He left no will, and had only 1d in his "credits".
His next of-kin was a brother, William, living in the same parish.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.
