Conduct: "very good."
In possession of two Good Conduct badges.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava, Inkerman, Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.
He is also shown on the Sebastopol clasp roll of H.M.S."Agamemnon" as "Owen Newman, Doing duty as Captain's Orderly. Private No. 1204 13th Light Dragoons."
There is nothing on the Sebastopol clasp roll of the 13th Light Dragoons to indicate that the Sebastopol clasp was issued other than by the regiment.
He is not named on the 1877 or 1879 roll of members of the Balaclava Society, nor is he ever known to have attended any of the various functions arranged by and for the veterans.
