Birth & early life

Born in Middlesex.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 29th of July 1846.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: None shown.

Sent to Scutari on the 19th of December 1854.

The muster rolls for the period show him as being in "Hospital" at the time of the muster taken on the 31st of October 1854, but no specific date of admission. That for November shows nothing other than being available for duty and that for December as "Hospital, Scutari" he being shown as joining (being on the roll) the General Depot on the 20th December.

Died in the "General Hospital" at Scutari on the 19th of January 1855.

Next of kin: Father, William Brewer. Living in the parish of St. Clement's, London.

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Inkerman and Sebastopol.
