Born at Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 16th of December 1849.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Servant.

Service

Sent to Scutari from Varna, when the regiment left for the Crimea proper. He was there from the 14th of September and sent to rejoin the regiment on the 10th of November.

Served Eupatoria.

Discharge & pension

Discharged "time expired," from Edinburgh on the 24th of December 1860.

Served 12 years 6 days.

Conduct, "good".

In possession of two G.C. badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.

Lummis and Wynn state his medal as "No clasps", but he is actually shown on the Sebastopol clasp roll.
