Enlisted at Birmingham on the 29th of April 1854.

Height: 5. 7".

Trade: Labourer.

Features: Fresh complexion. Grey eyes. Brown hair.

Service

Discharge & pension

Discharged from Cahir on the 17th of October 1856, as:

"Unfit for further service. This man suffers from disease of the heart — the result of constitutional pre-disposition and not aggravated by vice or mis-conduct, intemperance or service."

Served 2 years 172 days. In Turkey and the Crimea, 1 year.

Conduct, "good".

Not in possession of any G.C. badges.

Awarded a pension of 7d. per day to the 9th of July 1857.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
