NB Name is shown as "Berezowski" on muster rolls.

Birth & early life

Born c.1836 at St George's in the East, London.

Enlistment

Enlisted 25th of July 1854.

Trade: Clerk.

Service, discharge & pension

From Private to Corporal: 9th of August 1855.

Embarked for the Crimea on the 4th of September 1855 as part of a draft of 50 men under the command of Lt. Robert MacNeill. Arrived in the Crimea at Balaclava on the 29th of September 1855.

Served in Eupatoria.

Reduced to Private: 25th of November 1855.

Invalided to England and discharged at Cahir on 15th of November 1856.

An extract from his medical report at Cahir shows that "He spent four months in the Crimea and Turkey during nearly the whole time of which he was in Hospital suffering from a sort of bowel complaint."

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to Crimean medal without clasp and the Turkish Medal.
