Employed as a "Conservancy Overseer" from the 1st of April 1865.
Embarked for England, "invalided", on the 16th of January 1868.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Balaclava and Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
Died "At Sea", aboard the "Shannon", on the 2nd of April 1868.
The sum of £103/1/2d in his Savings Account was forwarded to his wife from the Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley. (Name and address not shown.)
His widow, Selina Byrne, was living in Coventry at the time of his death.
