Birth & early life

Born in Sherborne, Dorset.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Cork on the 16th of May 1854.

Age: 22.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Labourer.

Service,n

Joined the regiment in the Crimea from Cork on the 16th of July 1855.

Died in the Regimental Hospital at Dublin (most probably in Island Bridge Barracks) on the 15th of May 1857.

The Register of Burials for Arbour Hill Cemetery shows that he was buried there on the 15th of May 1857 in Grave No. 1923. His address is not shown but his cause of death is recorded as "Feb. C-C.", and his age as 20 [sic].

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
