Born in Bath, Somerset.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Cork on the 28th of November 1854.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 9".

Trade: Labourer.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 15th of July 1855.

Embarked for India from Cork aboard the S.S "Great Britain" on the 8th of October 1857.

The July-September 1858 muster rolls show him as being "On Field Service" from September of this period.

Died "On the March" in India, 17th of March 1860.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.

Mutiny medal without clasp.

Death & burial

Died "On the March" in India, 17th of March 1860.
