Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 27th of May 1851.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: None shown.

Service

Shown as Batman to Lieutenant Thomson, 17th Lancers in the April-June of 1854 muster roll, but such positions were not recorded from July 1854 onwards.

Sent to Scutari on the 12th of December 1855, but died en route, on the 15th of December 1854.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Lummis and Wynn state "No clasps", but he is to be found on the Sebastopol clasp roll.

Death & burial

Died, "At Sea" en route to Scutari, on the 15th of December 1854.
