Enlistment

Enlisted at Birmingham on the 29th of January 1849.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: Chinaware-maker.

At Scutari from the 22nd of September 1854 and rejoining the regiment on the 3rd of October 1854.

At Scutari again from the 4-24 of April 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "by purchase", from Brighton on the 24th of November 1856. Payment of £25.

Conduct: "good".

In possession of two Good Conduct badges.

Served 7 years 303 days.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Inkerman and Sebastopol.
