Re-engaged in India for a further 12 years' service on the 22nd of August 1866.

Appointed to Troop Sgt, Major on the 4th of October 1869.
"In confinement", awaiting trial, 14-30 of November. Tried by a District Court-martial on the 30th of November 1870 and reduced to Private for "making away with a pay-sheet."
Transferred to the 11th Hussars on the 30th of October 1871. Regimental No. 1222.
Discharged from the Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley, on the 7th of March 1876.
