He is shown on a separate roll as "Landed in the Crimea after the 9th of September, but is specially entitled to the Crimean medal in consequence of having served with the Regiment during the Expedition to Eupatoria in the month of October 1855." Camp Aldershot, 16th of November 1857.
Documents confirm the award of the Crimean medal, clasp for Sebastopol, and the Long Service & Good Conduct medal.
Although there is no clear evidence on the medal roll that all the men so named are entitled to the clasp, it would appear from the note on this man's documents regarding his entitlement that this was so.
Awarded the Long Service & Good Conduct medal on the 1st of November 1874 with a gratuity of £5.
