Embarked for the Crimea aboard the H.T. "Mary Anne" on the 19th of April 1854.
Tried by a Regimental Court-martial on the 5th of December 1854 for "being drunk on duty at Varna," and reduced to Private.
Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 9th of January 1855.
Discharged from Dundalk on the 6th of July 1857.
"Free discharge, at his own request and with right of registry for a deferred pension upon reaching the age of 50 years."
His documents were sent to Chelsea Hospital on the 29th of December 1875.
