Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 11th of September 1854.

No other enlistment details apart from his trade as a clerk are shown.

Service, discharge & pension

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 25th of May 1855.

From Private to Corporal: 10th of September 1857.

Corporal to Sergeant: 6th of November 1858.

Appointed to Paymaster's Clerk on the 6th of November 1861.

Sent to the Depot at Canterbury when the regiment went to India on 25th of June 1866.

Discharged, "time expired", from Canterbury on the 12th of September 1866.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.

Life after service
