Birth & early life

Born at Southwark, London.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 14th of October 1854.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: Sawyer,.

Features: Fresh complexion. Hazel eyes. Brown hair.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 1st of August 1855.

Sent to Scutari in the 10th of October and is shown on a nominal roll of men of the Regiment made out at the Cavalry Depot, Scutari on the 9th of November 1855 as being In Hospital there from the 24th of October.

Joined the regiment on the 31st of October 1855.

Transferred to the Military Train at Cahir on the 31st of October 1856.

"Deserted" from the Curragh Camp on the 1st of January 1857.

Can find no further trace to 1879.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.

Nor recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
