He is shown on a Nominal Roll dated the 9th of November 1855, as being On Duty as a Farrier at Scutari from the 24th of October 1855. From this he did not serve in Eupatoria with the regiment.

Sent money from the Crimea to his father, John Hunt, living at the "Swan Inn", Uxbridge.
