Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 20th of June 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "By Authority", on the 31st of December 1855. To serve with the Commissariat.

He is shown in W0/25/3869 as "Discharged. Employed in the Commissariat", dated the 26th of October 1855. By Order of the War Office. (He was then named as Norris "Hall" Forbes.)

Conduct: "good". Served 1 year 7 months.

Can find no further trace.

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
