Tried by a Regimental Court-martial on the 13th of July 1850 and sentenced to 20 days imprisonment.
In custody of the Civil Power: 4th-14th of April 1852.
At Balaclava he assisted 1547 John Ford, 4th Light Dragoons, who was pinned down when his horse was shot under him.
At Scutari from the 4th of April — 11th of May 1855.
Discharged from Dublin on the 21st of August 1861.
"Own request, by claim, having completed a twelve year period of limited engagement."

To live at No. 40 Aldergate Street, City, London, after discharge.
On the 12th of July 1881 he became eligible for a pension of 8d. per day after having served 18 years on the Army Reserve (only half of that time counting) and making a total of 21 years and 1 month service. The entry repeats other known information except that of his trade, which is shown as that of a "Dyer".
He was aged 51 years at this time and living in the East London Pension District. He had gone on to the "A" Reserve (Second Class) in East London on the 11th of June 1863.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava, Inkerman and Sebastopol.
