Birth & early life

Born at Norwich c.1830. He was christened in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Maddermarket, on the 5th of December 1830, the son of Thomas and Harriet Eliza Fisher, nee Carpenter. His parents were married in the church of St. Mary the Virgin at Tasburgh, near Norwich, on the 17th of April 1825.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 26th of December 1854.

Age: 24.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Shoe-maker.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea after the 1st of June 1855.

Sent to Scutari on the 1st of October 1855 and later invalided to England.

Discharge & pension

Discharged from Brighton on the "Reduction of the Regiment" on the 24th of November 1856.

Served 1 year 333 days.

Conduct and character: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.
