Born at Wigan, c.1837.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Warminster on the 22nd of December 1854.

Age: 17.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Collier.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 20th of June 1855.

At Scutari from the 31st of October to the 19th of November 1855.

Is shown on a nominal roll of officers and men of the regiment at the Cavalry Depot, Scutari, made out on the 9th of November 1855, as being On Duty there from the 4th of July.

Transferred to the 2nd Dragoon Guards at Dublin on the 31st of December 1856. Regimental. No. 257.

To India aboard the "Blenheim", dis-embarking on the 25th of November 1857.

Served in the Bungay Jungle.

Died at Agra, India, on the 1st of December 1866.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
