Birth & early life

Born in Essex.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Chatham into the 15th Hussars with the Regimental number of 1853.

Trade: Groom.

No other enlistment details are shown.

Volunteered into the 2nd Dragoon Guards on the 3rd of November 1854. Regimental No. 1317.

Transferred to the 11th Hussars from the Depot on the 1st of December 1854.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 16th of May 1855.

In hospital at Balaclava from the 5th of June 1855.

Died "of fever" at Daidon on the 8th of August 1855.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
