Born at Carshalton, Surrey, c.1833, the son of Christopher Jenner and Mary (nee Coatsworth) who married at Carshalton on the 16th of January 1832. The witnesses were her parents, Joseph and Sarah Coatsworth.
Enlisted at London on the 2nd of May 1852.

Trade: Servant.
At Scutari General Hospital from the 22nd of September 1854 and sent to rejoin the regiment in the Crimea on the 3rd of October.
