Birth & early life

Enlistment

Enlisted at Maidstone into the 15th Hussars on the 8th of November 1848. Regimental No. 1530.

Trade: Tailor.

No other enlistment details are shown.

Service

Embarked for India aboard the "Tarter" [sic?] on the 18th of October 1849 and landed at Madras on the 20th of February 1850.

Volunteered for the 4th Light Dragoons on the 1st of November 1854.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 28th of April 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "time expired" from Dublin on the 16th of October 1860.

Served 12 years 3 days.

Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
