Birth & early life

Born at Egomithelme, Ireland.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Dublin on the 20th of October 1841, c.1822.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 9".

Trade: Servant.

Service

Embarked for the Crimea aboard the H.T. "Echunga" on the 15th of May 1854.

At Scutari General Hospital from the 24th of September and sent to rejoin the regiment on the 3rd of October 1854.

Sent to Scutari again on the 12th of February 1855 and died "in the General Hospital" on the 10th of March.

His wife, Ann, was with the Regiment in the Crimea at the time of his death.

Left no will, and had £1/10/d. in his "credits."

The Sebastopol clasp roll states... "Died at Scutari on the 4th of March 1855", but the Sebastopol Hospital muster roll as the 10th.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Balaclava and Sebastopol.
