Born in Clerkenwell, London, c.1833.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 30th of December 1854.

Age: 21.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: French-polisher.

Appearance: Fresh complexion. Hazel eyes. Brown hair.

Service

He is shown as being at the General Hospital, Scutari, from the 18th of August 1855 and being invalided to England on the 8th of September.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "Invalided", from Kilmainham Hospital on the 24th of November 1856, because of;

"General bad health and debility consequent upon service in the Crimea at too early an age."

Served 1 year 329 days.

In Turkey and the Crimea: 10 months.

Granted a pension of 6d. per day for 6 months, "final."

Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

To live in Clerkenwell, London, after discharge.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
