Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 29th of April 1855.

Tried by a District Court-martial on the 1st of February 1855 for being "drunk on duty, under arms," and given 25 lashes.

Tried by a District Court-martial on the 6th of February 1856 for "being asleep on his post," and given 50 lashes.

Tried by a District Court-martial at Dublin on the 18th of February 1857 for "Breaking out of Barracks" and awarded 84 days imprisonment, with hard labour.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, on the "Reduction of the Regiment", from Dublin on the 31st of March 1857.

Served 2 years 255 days.

Conduct and character: "Bad." Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
