Born at Galway, Ireland, c.1836.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Cork on the 1st of June 1854.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: Labourer.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 24th of April 1855.

Died "in the Regimental Hospital" on the 24th of July 1855.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

The Returned Medal book states: "Crimean medal returned to the Mint. No trace of issue."

Lummis and Wynn state "not on medal roll", but he is to be found on the Sebastopol clasp list.

Commemorations

Death & burial

Died "in the Regimental Hospital" on the 24th of July 1855.
