A Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and with impressed naming to "Thomas Moorhouse. 7th Hussars." is known to be in a Midland's private collection. (1984) It could be that this medal, when issued to him, was named to the regiment to which he had transferred, but there is nothing on the medal roll to confirm, or explain, why this should have been so. The "Remarks" column shows "Regt. 8/8/56," a comment (but not always the same date) applicable to most named.

A pair of medals, comprising of the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol (officially impressed naming to "Thomas Moorhouse. 7th Hussars" and the Turkish medal Sardinian type — but "unofficial" [sic] with small engraved naming to "Private Thomas Moorhouse. No. 1779 4th Light Dragoons.", appeared in a Glendining's auction on the 24th of March 1993. A note detailing his service added: Turkish War Medal purchased 11th of November 1985 and put together after 151 years. [sic]

What would appear to be this same pair of medals appeared in a Spink's Medal Circular (No. 8 ) of December 1997.
