Born at Balleybay, Co. Monaghan, c.1834.

Enlistment

Enlisted into the 16th Foot at Castlebar on the 4th of June 1853. Regimental No. 3090.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Blacksmith.

Transferred to the 8th Hussars on the 1st of January 1854.

Service

Embarked for the Crimea aboard the H.T. "Wilson Kennedy" on the 2nd of May 1854.

Killed-in-action at Balaclava.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava and Sebastopol.
