Born at Whitbourne, c.1834.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 12th of May 1854.

Age: 20.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: Hawker.

From Private to Corporal: 8th of September 1854.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 14 April 1855.

Served with the detchment of the regiment under Lt. Colonel De Salis in the Expedition to Kertch on the 22nd of May 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "by purchase", from Dundalk on the 15th of October 1856. Payment of £30.

Served 2 years 159 days.

Conduct: "very good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
