Born at Kildysart, c.1834.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Dublin into the 7th Hussars on the 18th of September 1854.

Age: 20.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: Tailor.

Transferred, at his own request, into the 8th Hussars on the 31st of December 1854. (See record of 1451 Edward Boocock.)

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 14th of July 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged on the "Reduction of the Regiment," from Dundalk on the 28th of February 1857.

Served 2 years 164 days.

Conduct: "very good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
