Born at Tullamore, Ireland.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Longford on the 24th of October 1845.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Labourer.

Service

Embarked for the Crimea aboard the H.T. "Echunga" on the 15th of May 1854.

Sent to Scutari on the 15th of September and to rejoin the regiment on the 3rd of October 1854.

Died in the Regimental Hospital at Dundalk, Ireland, on the 16th of September 1856.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Balaclava, Inkerman and Sebastopol.

Death & burial

Died in the Regimental Hospital at Dundalk, Ireland, on the 16th of September 1856.

Next of kin: Mother, Alice Horton, living in Portarlington, Co. Queen's.
