Enlisted at Liverpool on the 23rd of January 1847.

Age: 21.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: None shown.

Sick in hospital at Scutari during June and invalided to England on the 8th of July 1855.

Service

He was batman to Cornet Henry Frazer Dimsdale from the 9th of July 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "by purchase", from Hounslow on the 15th of April 1857, upon payment of £20.

Served 9 years 330 days.

Conduct: "good."

In possession of one Good Conduct badge.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Inkerman, Sebastopol and the Turkish medal. The muster roll for the Balaclava period muster roll states, "Sick, absent."
