No other enlistment details apart from his trade as a shoemaker are shown.
Returned from India aboard the "Repulse" on the 27th of March 1842, having left Bombay on the 28th of December 1841.
Sent to Scutari on the 15th of January and invalided to England on the 31of March 1855 aboard the "Indiana" and being at Chatham from the 16th of April 1855.
Died at the Chatham Invalid Depot on the 13th of May 1855.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava, Inkerman and Sebastopol.
Awarded the Long Service & Good Conduct medal on the 3rd of May 1854, with a gratuity of £5.
The muster roll for the period shows him as being "On service in Scinde", and from this he would also have been entitled to the medal for Ghuznee.
Died at the Chatham Invalid Depot on the 13th of May 1855.
