Enlistment

Enlisted at Westminster on the 10th of February 1854.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Cabinet-maker.

Sent to the Cavalry Depot on the 19th of April 1854.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 14th of July 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "by purchase", from Dundalk on the 7th of August 1856. Payment of £30.

Served 2 years 105 days.

Conduct: "Indifferent." Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Lummis and Wynn state that "he did not embark for the Crimea."
