Born in the parish of St. Andrew's, Dublin.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Dublin on the 16th of December 1854.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 5".

Trade: Tailor.

Appearance: Fresh complexion. Grey eyes, Dk. brown hair.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 25th of May 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged from Dublin on the 13th of May 1861.

"Discharged in consequence of being unfit for Her Majesty's Service. Labours under slight rupture. His disability cannot be attributed to any particular cause."

Served 6 years 123 days.

In Turkey and the Crimea: 11 months.

Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges. Never tried by Court-martial.

Aged 24 years 6 months on discharge.

To live at No. 9 Charles Street, Dublin.

Documents confirm the award of the Crimean and Turkish medals.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
