Enlisted at Manchester on the 13th of December 1854.

Age: 20.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: Labourer.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 25th of May 1855.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "invalided" from Chatham Invalid Depot on the 24th of November 1859.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.

Further information

His Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, stated to be "officially impressed naming" and his Turkish medal (English type) also named, appeared in Lovell's list for September and again in December of 1981.
