1305, Private George ROBINSON — 4th Light Dragoons

Birth & early life

Born at Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, Ireland, c.1829.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Dublin on the 8th of February 1847.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 9".

Trade: Shoe-maker.

Service

Tried by a District Court-martial at Ipswich on the 12th of July 1852 for "disobedience of orders" and sentenced to 112 days' imprisonment with hard labour, and stoppage of pay.

Killed in action at Balaclava.

Next of kin: Mother, Mrs. Mary Robinson, living in Nenagh.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava and Sebastopol.
