Enlisted at Dublin on the 3rd of August 1854.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 14th of July 1855.

From Private to Corporal: 29th of August 1855.

Corporal to Sergeant: 3rd of September 1855.

Transferred to the 3rd Dragoon Guards on the 31st of January 1857. Regimental No. 223.

Appointed to Troop Sergeant Major on the 27th of December 1857.

Reduced to Sergeant (no reason stated), on the 1st of October 1858.

Invalided to England from India on the 22nd of December 1866.

Discharge & pension

Discharged (in the rank of Hospital Sergeant), "time expired", from Canterbury Depot on the 24th of June 1867.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.
