Birth & early life

Enlistment

Enlisted at Liverpool on the 4th of January 1848.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: None shown."

In "Civil Gaol", from the 23rd of July 1853, having been sentenced to three months' imprisonment at the Leicester Quarter Sessions for "Larceny from the person".

He was again "In Barrack Cells", 1st-21st of October 1853.

Service

Embarked for the Crimea aboard the H.T. "Wilson Kennedy" on the 2nd of May 1854.

Sent to Scutari on the 11th of October and rejoined the regiment on the 6th of December 1854.

Died "in the Camp Hospital" on the 2nd of May 1855.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma and Sebastopol.
