Birth & early life

Born in Middlesex.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 7th of August 1850.

Age: 20.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Clerk.

Service

Enlisted at London on the 7th of August 1850.

From Private to Corporal: 22nd of November 1853.

Corporal to Sergeant: 26th of October 1854.

At Scutari from the 8th of September 1854 and sent to rejoin the regiment on the 3rd of October.

Sent to Scutari again on the 29th of October 1854 and to Malta on the 9th of November.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Balaclava, Inkerman, and Sebastopol.

Death & burial

Died, "on passage to England", on the 1st of February 1855.

His "credits" were 8/2d, but were not paid over, there being "No proof of next of kin."
