Born in London.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 15th of February 1855.

No other enlistment details apart from his trade as a porter are shown.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 1st of August 1855.

He is shown on a nominal roll of officers and men of the regiment at the Cavalry Depot, Scutari, made out on the 9th of November 1855, as being On Duty there from the 4th of November.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "on the reduction of the regiment", from Cahir, Ireland, on the 1st of August 1855.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.

The Sebastopol clasp roll states, "Medal sent to the O/C. 18th Brigade R. A. on the 8th of May 1863.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
