Birth & early life

Born at Bridport, Dorset.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Manchester on the 27th of December 1854.

Age: 21.

Height: 5' 4".

Trade: Clerk.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 25th of May 1855.

Transferred to the 7th Hussars at Aldershot on the 1st of August 1847. Regimental No. 86.

Died in India on the 21st of January 1866.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Mutiny medal without clasp.

Served in the advance to, and occupation of Fyzabad, passage of the Goomlee and the repulse of the enemy at Sultanapore.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.

Further information

Died at Sealkote, India.
