Birth & early life

Born at Norwich.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Norwich on the 25th of January 1853.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: Gilder.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea from Varna on the 6th of February 1855.

A nominal roll of men of the regiment at the Cavalry Depot, Scutari, made out on the 9th of November 1855, shows him as being On Duty there from the 24th of October.

Attached to the Army Hospital Corps at Birmingham from the 1st of December

1859.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "time expired", from Dundalk on the 7th of February 1865.

Conduct: "good".

In possession of two Good Conduct badges.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Lummis and Wynn state, "Nothing further known.

Life after service
