Enlistment

Enlisted at Edinburgh into the 7th Hussars at Nottingham on the 25th of November 1854 with the Regimental No. of 1432.

Age: 23.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Optician.

Service

Transferred, at his own request, into the 8th Hussars on the 1st of January 1855. (See record of1451 Edward Boocock, 8th Hussars.)

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 15th of June 1855

Discharge & pension

Discharged, on the "Reduction of the Regiment", from Dundalk on the 8th of November 1856.

Served 1 year 347 days.

Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
